I thought I would like to remember the new website I found yesterday for the boys. BBC history. I thought it was a cute site. I am sure they will learn alot from it. bbc.co.uk/history/ They went straight to the viking game.They had other games. Ancient Egypt and Mummy Maker were a few. It also has biographies of famous people. I just hope I can find more educational websites for free. If I do I will be sure to post them.
My daughter loves www.starfall.com. It is a good site to learn how to read. when she reads we will be able to send her to the other ones. :)

organizing tips
I was hitting some websites and was wisked away by a organizing site. :) Well, it being the new year and I am in the organizing mood I thought I would check it out. I can always use some help. I just love to look at all the neat stuff people come up with. i dream of clean was the web page that started it all. Well, I was looking up Once a month mom. It was a once a month cooking website that has several great recipes, recipe cards and how to organize it all. That is what really started it all.
Then I went from her website too perfect cleaning schedule.com. which I found to be a book for a blog that seemed quite interesting. So off I went again. This led me to the idreamofclean.com. Then I was swept away again. Now I am off to Organizeyourstuffnow.com Which was had some great ideas. then swept away again to another site that was organizing made fun. I liked this one for the 31 day challenge. Would I be able to do it? Not sure but I may have to go back and see what day 3 is. I only was able to download a little since I have dial-up and it is so slow. Her site was pretty but took me forever to look it up. I think it is a site for the library. :)....
That was it for my looking things up for organizing and cleaning. I was able to look up some good books and game sites for the kids at the Library. We enjoyed taking the day off school to visit the library to get our books and check out some on-line sites.
The kids enjoyed a new site that had historical facts and it was mixed with games. It was BBC history. I enjoyed a game. It was a viking game. It was cute. They look for artifacts and go on an archeological dig. It has so many different educational learning games of different eras. I hope my kids keep playing and learning. It was quite fun.
I also went on the Simply Charlotte Mason.com and did some research on some books I am suppose to be reading the children. Well, ones that they recommend. I have been doing something similar but with different books. Now I went on homeschoolclassifieds.com to see if they had them cheaper and no one had them for sale. So my next step is too look on e-bay. I am surprised that so many people are holding onto them. I was for "106 Days of creation studies" by Sonya Shafer for 14.95 It would be our Science book . Mostly for my daughter.

Now this blog has me excited. I am having a little technical difficulty. Not sure if it is on my part or just the blog but I am so happy to see such great lapbook material and Jewish/ Old Testament teaching resources for my children. cranberry-orange sauce
Aunt Colleens Famous Orange, Port & Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
* 2 – 12oz bags whole cranberries
* 1 cup 100% orange juice -not from concentrate
* 3/4 cup sugar
* 1 cup ruby port
Directions:
1. Rinse cranberries.
2. Add all ingredients in a 4qt pot and bring to a boil stirring occasionally.
3. Lower heat to medium-high heat (so it continues to boil) for 12-15min stirring occasionally.
4. Remove from heat. Allow sauce to cool.
5. For “chunky” sauce pour in glass jars as is. If you like a “smooth” cranberry sauce pour in blender and blend until smooth (once cooled). Then transfer to jelly mason jars. Makes between 6-7 jelly sized jars.

It made me think about the nutrition of my kids and myself. I wish I would have had this kind of information a long time ago.... Like when I was a kid getting my teeth filled! I sure would like to read the book "Cure tooth Decay" by Ramiel Nagel . I am sure it will be very insightful. I will have to see if I can get it. Hope this is helpful to someone else also...... :)

I found more information about good foods. I am always looking for ways to eat healthier. I also like this site because it gives recipes for making homemade body products. I am trying some of these out. I hope to tell you how it goes but I sometimes it takes me some time to get all of my products or ducks lined up in a row. Once I do I found I take off on the project. I make my own laundry detergent. At first I was a little intimidated but now I am a pro and actually enjoy it. I don't have to run out to the store and buy it with load piling up. A plus since I sometimes don't have the funds at the moment or I am to busy to just make a long trip to the city. So , It really works for me and my family. I can usually make up a batch in 15 minutes and it lasts me a couple of months.

What I learned today.
Well, I came across a good website that I liked. She has started to make her own products for body care. Today in Dietzville was the blog. I really enjoyed some of her incite and plan on researching more of her blog and areas of expert advice. I hope to hear more from her about her homemade health products because I do believe her philosophy. Anyway, that is the newest website I have found today and plan on keeping my journal to new things I have learned and found on the web. It helps me research other options and I can remember what I have looked up. LOL because I can never remember where I left the info.

Dear's or Deer
I enjoyed time with my children today. We went and had our picture taken. It was an interesting day. We went shopping at a craft sale and ate Bar-B-Que at the local VFW. We went to our local Depot Gallery where I make crafts and had pictures taken. Santa showed up and was giving out goody bags. The kids loved spending time walking around eating the cookies that were made by all the local crafters and drinking Apple Cider. It was a pretty good day.Hubby cleaned house and then went hunting since Muzzle loader season started this weekend. No deer though. Everyone around him was shooting. So, either they were shot at least 9 bucks or everyone was bored and are eating Does. :) My husband hasn't seen a buck since fire arms.season opened.
