Apples 4 the Teacher
I found a couple more sites that I really like. we are going to be working with the first 6 presidents this year and I found "Apples 4 the teacher" site http://www.apples4theteacher.com/holidays/presidents-day/games/concentration1/
This was the presidents match game my son liked. They have several different fun things to do. They also have tons of information. I really like this site.
I also came across the Living Books for School Science. I hope this helps someone get the SCM Science Books that they need to read. Here is their website.

ART
http://www.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/archive/Dec03/0444.html
Here is where I was lead for the Shorewood Collection of Fine Art. This is where I think I could get a new catalog of Fine Art Prints. It wouldn't be cheap though. I may pay well over $50 for it. I will look more into it to see what all it covers. I may message the Half. com to see if it has the entire book or if it is just the picture. On the http://arthist.umn.edu/aict/html/ancient/NE/NE201.html website I beleive I can copy off the large picture to study. This way I can use the cheap catalog as a reference to what I want to see and print it off the website to look at it in a larger picture. :)
Just an idea running threw my head right now.......

art
I have been looking for art lessons. I started with Charlotte Mason. I liked the study of each individual study. However, we are studying Africa. This sort of doesn't get us near the timeline era I am looking at. We are in Ancient Mesopotamia/Egypt area in the timeline.
I have found some wonderful websites. Incrediableart.org seems to be the favorite one that I ran across today. It led me to so many more. I am still looking at the websites. I think I will hang it up for tonight. I did start out looking at CM and then I went looking for CM books on E-bay. This led me to find Shorewood Collection of Fine Art Prints. I was excited to see this and I believe it was a catalog. I looked up the manufacture of this book and came across all of these wonderful sites. The book has many different paintings in it. It also has Art reference guide and artist biographies. I am looking to buy it. I checked it out on Half.com and found I could get a copy as low as 3.98 I am not sure it has the biographies and the reference guide with it. I really would like to have the biographies in the book though. So, when I have time I will come back and look at it again and see if this is a good purchase. We could always supplement with CM with the bigger pictures and the individual studies. :)
http://arthist.umn.edu/aict/html/ancient/NE/NE201.html Was another good site I came across in the area of African art. This was a great site for showing me the pictures of different time eras. I looked up the Ancients and it gave me the battle of Ur. This is a great site to come back to. I think I will have to find a picture and use a magnify glass to be able to see the greater detail. It might be in this book but it might be a little small. At least I would have a print of it though. I might be able to blow it up some if I print it out. So many possibilities!

SchoolExpress.com - 13000+ FREE worksheets
SchoolExpress.com - 13000+ FREE worksheets
I found a website I was on before but couldn't remember where I put it. I generated free quizzes and tests on it. You can also make your own word scrambles, cross word puzzles, spelling tests and more. You punch in the words you want to use and/questions and then you can print it out for your kids. I like it because I can ask my kids the questions I want to study with them. I don't have to use a box curriculum. Sometimes it doesn't fit our life style or the questions aren't worded properly. I take care of it with my own answers to questions. I hope you like it. :)
Blessings!

Ideas on CM and Sonlight curriculm
A 4 year plan--I found a site with homeschooling 4 years of books to read for curriculum. All lined up on what to do and what to read. I think this is neat. Now all I have to do is look at this long list....LOL I wish I could know what all of them were all about. So I will have to look those up now. Maybe... At least it gives me an idea of other books out there to help with curriculum. Well , I found this at homescool-ed.blogspot.com April 13, 2007
Homemade Vanilla Marshmallows
Homemade Vanilla Marshmallows
I thought I would share this . I plan on printing it and making them. My son is allergic to almost all candy. He is allergic to all the dyes an perservative they put in them. I have always wanted to make marshmallows because they seem to be something without dye. I have noticed that they sometimes put other things in them that I would consider just as bad. He can't have High Fructose Corn Syrup either. It is fermented and is a form of mold. I have finally found a blog that has a recipe that I can finally try. Mmmm can't wait to let him enjoy some. Her website is Couldntbeparve.com "Couldn't be parve "for those of you that have a hard time seperating those words naturally. :) Anyway, I am so excited I had to tell everyone! I hope I can learn how to link this in my posts like other people do. Sorry I haven't figured it out yet. I have played on this thing for days and still can't figure it out. It seems like it just hates me.... Thanks for looking....

blog watching
Ok, So here I am looking at other blogger's. Some are very interesting. I was looking at a site that was on SCM disscussion forum. I was curious to see what others have been blogging, so there I found myself. It started off with a book we have both been wanting. She posted that she is looking for it. It so happens I was looking the other day for the same book. Well, actually it was Yesterday. I searched Ebay and homeschoolclassifieds, ect... I still couldn't find it. So, I looked to see if she had any luck. I found myself wondering around her site. She has two daughters she is unschooling with Charlotte mason curriculum. I found it fascinating that she is a vegetarian. She was talking about having a Thanksgiving without the Turkey and how she made this awesome gravy. Well, of course one of these days I will have to make it. I also would like to look at some more of her meals when I get some more time. Of course that isn't today. I found her site. Life on the narrow path. Irienarrowpath.blogspot.com ... Just in case someone is interested in looking her up. Blessings
