ART

http://www.getty.edu/education/teacherartexchange/archive/Dec03/0444.html
Here is where I was lead for the Shorewood Collection of Fine Art. This is where I think I could get a new catalog of Fine Art Prints. It wouldn't be cheap though. I may pay well over $50 for it. I will look more into it to see what all it covers. I may message the Half. com to see if it has the entire book or if it is just the picture. On the http://arthist.umn.edu/aict/html/ancient/NE/NE201.html website I beleive I can copy off the large picture to study. This way I can use the cheap catalog as a reference to what I want to see and print it off the website to look at it in a larger picture. :)
Just an idea running threw my head right now.......

art

I have been looking for art lessons. I started with Charlotte Mason. I liked the study of each individual study. However, we are studying Africa. This sort of doesn't get us near the timeline era I am looking at. We are in Ancient Mesopotamia/Egypt area in the timeline.
I have found some wonderful websites. Incrediableart.org seems to be the favorite one that I ran across today. It led me to so many more. I am still looking at the websites. I think I will hang it up for tonight. I did start out looking at CM and then I went looking for CM books on E-bay. This led me to find Shorewood Collection of Fine Art Prints. I was excited to see this and I believe it was a catalog. I looked up the manufacture of this book and came across all of these wonderful sites. The book has many different paintings in it. It also has Art reference guide and artist biographies. I am looking to buy it. I checked it out on Half.com and found I could get a copy as low as 3.98 I am not sure it has the biographies and the reference guide with it. I really would like to have the biographies in the book though. So, when I have time I will come back and look at it again and see if this is a good purchase. We could always supplement with CM with the bigger pictures and the individual studies. :)
http://arthist.umn.edu/aict/html/ancient/NE/NE201.html Was another good site I came across in the area of African art. This was a great site for showing me the pictures of different time eras. I looked up the Ancients and it gave me the battle of Ur. This is a great site to come back to. I think I will have to find a picture and use a magnify glass to be able to see the greater detail. It might be in this book but it might be a little small. At least I would have a print of it though. I might be able to blow it up some if I print it out. So many possibilities!
